Zipties, coat hangers. Dimensions variable. 2014

ARTASIA is a Culture for Kids in the Arts (CKA) city-wide arts education initiative that encompasses visual arts, education, civic engagement and environmentalism by way of engaging children in visual art workshops and a final public art exhibition. For Artasia 2014, the program challenged children to re-imagine everyday objects, see their hidden potential, encourage sustainable actions and think creatively and critically about the world around us.

In collaboration with the Program Director, Education Coordinator, Community Artist, Arts Educator and Arts Apprentices, I co-created a sculptural installation comprised of hundreds of coat hangers and zip ties that was displayed at Hamilton Supercrawl in September 2014.
